Looking FOURward: March

I love the change of seasons. About the time I'm tired of one, along comes a new one. I find this to be true in the physical world around me, and in the “seasons” of my life that don't have as much to do with the turning of calendar pages. Aren't you grateful for new seasons? How are you thinking about and planning for the next few months?

Here are 4 priorities for March:

  1. Depending on when Lent and Easter fall, a devotional book, written by your church or choir members, can be a meaningful way to highlight the season, develop spiritual growth, and give your congregation the chance for creative expression.
  2. Host a “Music/Worship Ministry Appreciation Dinner” for all involved in this ministry in your church.
  3. Start now to schedule some personal vacation time with your family.
  4. Discover who Saint Patrick really was. How might his missionary zeal impact your ministry?

Timing is everything, they say. It's true in our planning; it's true in our carrying out of those plans; and it's especially true in the words we say, and when we say them. A man finds joy in an apt reply – and how good is a timely word. (Proverbs 15:23)
